Great White Information
Great White is an American rock band. The current lineup includes Mark Kendall, Audie Desbrow, Michael Lardie, Scott Snyder, and Brett Carlisle. The band's breakthrough came with the publication of their third album, Once Bitten, in 1987, which was aided by the singles "Rock Me," "Save Your Love," and "Lady Red Light," all of which were heavily played on popular rock stations like KNAC and Z Rock.
In the North Dakota town of Dickinson, where Malloy was born, Great White performed an outdoor concert as part of "First on First Dickinson Summer Nights" on July 9, 2020, before an ever-increasing crowd. In contrast to other events, "First on First" does not enforce rules like social distance or mask use. Due to the concert's lack of pandemic safety precautions, the band issued a public apology following the incident.
Great White announced the departure of Mitch Malloy and the hiring of Last in Line frontman Andrew Freeman as a replacement on May 31, 2022. The band began their first major tour shortly after, with Freeman at the helm. The reorganized band also plans to release new music soon. In light of Freeman's obligations with Last in Line, the band announced on October 19 that Brett Carlisle had been named the new lead singer, who had stepped in for Freeman on multiple occasions a month earlier.
