Glass Tiger Information
Glass Tiger is a Canadian Grammy Award-nominated Canadian rock band. The current lineup of the group consists of Chris McNeill (drums), Sam Reid (keyboards, backing vocals, and piano), Wayne Parker (bass and backing vocals), Alan Frew (vocals, tambourine, and guitar), and Al Connelly (guitar and backing vocals). The band was formed in 1983 in Newmarket, Ontario. Glass Tiger released its debut album, The Thin Red Line, on June 11, 1986. Jim Vallance and Bryan Adams produced the album, and it became certified quadruple platinum in Canada and gold in the United States.
On April 13, 1988, Glass Tiger released its second studio album, Diamond Sun, certified triple platinum in Canada. A single from the album “I’m Still Searching” reached number 2 in Canada. Their third album, Simple Mission, was released on March 22, 1991. The album was released through Capitol Records. It received radio play in Europe and Canada and was certified platinum in Canada.
Glass Tiger released a few more studio albums, including 31 (February 16, 2018), 33 (May 17, 2019), and Songs for a Winter’s Night (October 30, 2020). The group has also released a few compilation albums such as Air Time: The Best of Glass Tiger (1993), No Turning Back: 1985-2005 (2005), and Then, Now, Next (2012). Notable singles of Glass Tiger are “Don’t Forget Me (When I’m Gone),” “Thin Red Line,” “You’re What I Look For,” “I Will Be There,” “My Song,” and “Send Your Love.”
