Foxing Information
Foxing is an American indie rock band based in St. Louis, Missouri. The current lineup of the group consists of Conor Murphy (vocals, guitar, trumpet, and sampler), Jon Hellwig (drums and sampler), and Eric Hudson (guitar and vocals). Foxing started in 2011. The band released its debut album, The Albatross, in November 2013 through Count Your Lucky Stars Records. The remastered version of the album was released in May of the same year. The group signed to Triple Crown Records in 2014. They went on a headline tour of the United States in March and April 2016 with Tancred, O’Brother, and Lymbyc Systym.
Foxing has made several festival appearances in their careers, such as at Pygmalion, Wrecking Ball, Bunbury, Shaky Knees, and many others. The group’s music has been described as indie rock and post-rock. The band proceeded in January 2012 to record the Old Songs EP. Their lineup kept changing for several years. Foxing has supported many bands on their headlining tours, such as Modern Baseball, Brand New, and Seahaven.
On October 30, 2015, Foxing released its second studio album, Dealer. The album was released under Triple Crown. The album reached number three on the Billboard Vinyl Albums chart. Triple Crown also released a promotional song entitled “The Magdalene” on the band’s official SoundCloud channel. Other studio albums of the band include Nearer My God (2018) and Draw Down the Moon (2021). Some of their notable singles are “Weave,” “Glass Coughs,” “Slapstick,” “Nearer My God,” and “Speak With the Dead.”
