Fleetwood Mac is a British American rock band that was formed in 1967 in London. The current lineup of the band consists of Mike Fleetwood (drums and percussion), John McVie (bass), Christine McVie (keyboards and vocals), Stevie Nicks (vocals), Mike Campbell (lead guitar), and Neil Finn (vocals and rhythm guitar). The group was founded by Peter Green, John McVie, and Jeremy Spencer. On February 24, 1968, the band released its self-titled debut album.
Fleetwood Mac released its second album in the same year entitled “Mr. Wonderful.” So far, the group has sold more than 120 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands. The group was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, won the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
The band has worked with different record labels throughout its career, including Blue Horizon Records, LMJS Productions, Reprise Records, and Warner Bros Records. The band has been associated with many other acts apart from their projects, such as Duster Bennett, Eddie Boyd, Tramp, Bekka & Billy, Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie, Buckingham Nicks, Chicken Shack, Savoy Brown, and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers.
Fleetwood Mac has released several studio albums, including Then Play On (1969), Kiln House (1970), Future Games (1971), Bare Trees (1972), Penguin (1973), Mystery to Me (1973), Heroes Are Hard to Find (1974), Rumours (1977), Tusk (1979), Mirage (1982), Tango in the Night (1987), Behind the Mask (1990), Time (1995), and Say You Will (2003).
