Ferhat Gocer Information
Ferhat Göçer (May 11, 1970) is a Turkish songwriter, pop singer, and physician from Birecik, Turkey, and was born to a family with Kurdish origin as the eldest son. Göçer was raised in Izmit, and at the age of four, he started his education at his parents’ request. Göçer graduated from Izmit High School in 1985. Later on, he won a scholarship for the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and enrolled in Istanbul University State Conservatory Singing Department in 1988. After this, Göçer worked as a contractor for State Opera and Ballet.
Ferhat Göçer was a UNICEF goodwill ambassador for Turkey from November 2012 to May 2014. After 25 years as a physician, he retired in 2017. Göçer released his self-titled debut album on September 5, 2005. The album was released via DMC label and got diamond certification from MÜ-YAP. Some of his other studio albums are Yolun Açik Olsun February 2007, Çok Sevdim Ikimizi April 2008, Biz Askimiza Bakalim April 2010, Seni Sevmeye Asigim October 2011, Kalbe Kiralik Asklar October 2013, Sigmiyorsun Geceye ve Zamana April 2015, and Sabahattin Ali Sarkilari January 2020.
Ferhat Göçer also released an EP entitled Silinmeyen Hatiralar (feat. Catwork Project) in July 2014. Three of his compilation albums are Çok Sevdim Ikimizi & Remixes, Koleksiyon 6`li, and Seni Sevmeye Asigim & Remixes. Altin Güvercin Sarkilari 1986–2000 is a split album by him. He also released many hit songs that charted such as "Götür Beni Gittigin Yere", "Aklim Sende Kalir", and "Kalp Kalbe Karsi" (feat. Enbe Orkestrasi & Asli Güngör).
