Emily Wolfe Information
Emily Wolfe (May 11, 1990) is an American rock and roll musician. She began playing the guitar at the age of five, and she also began playing the drums at a young age. She began performing live throughout her student years at St. Edward's University. On February 28, 2012, Wolfe released her debut album, Director's Notes. Mike McCarthy produced her debut EP, Mechanical Hands, released on May 23, 2013. Hannah Hagar on keys and vocals, Sam Pankey on bass, and Jeffrey Olson on drums accompanied Wolfe on vocals and guitar.
Mike McCarthy produced her second EP, Roulette, self-released in 2014. She traveled with Allen Stone in the same year, performing at Austin City Limits, BottleRock Napa, South by Southwest, and touring the west coast. Wolfe was featured in Uproxx's "Uncharted Series" in 2016 and returned to the west coast for live appearances and touring and performing with Gary Clark Jr., The Toadies, Heart, The Pretenders, and performing at Texas' Sound on Sound Fest.
In 2017, Wolfe began work on her second full-length album, which Alabama Shakes keyboardist Ben Tanner will produce. Evan Nicholson on bass and Clellan Hyatt on drums appear on the album, which was recorded at Portside Sound in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Arlyn Studios in Austin, Texas. Crows Feet Records released Wolfe's third album, Outlier, in June 2021. Michael Shuman of Queens of the Stone Age produced the album, and he also had performance and co-writing credits on it.
