The Denver group Dragondeer has called upon the spirits of the beat to produce a genre-bending amalgam of Psychedelic Blues, Retro Funk, Soul, and Rock'n'Roll, all to touch hearts and get feet tapping. Four close friends concoct a musical that centers on songs but tends to improvise and go with the flow of the night's entertainment. This band is constantly evolving and expanding, and they want you to come to festivals like Electric Forrest, Firefly, and Telluride Blues to hear it.
Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Marcus King and the Revivalists, Shakey Graves and Southern Avenue, Dumpstaphunk and Drive-By Truckers, and Anders Osbourne and Jerry Joseph are just some of the acts that Dragondeer has shared the stage with. The band Dragondeer onto the stage, bringing their heavy blues-rock sound with them. The quartet's fusion of Mississippi Delta blues and 1960s psychedelic rock surprised the audience, evoking comparisons to early Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, and the electric Taj Mahal.
Eric Halborg, the band's lead singer, guitarist, and harmonicist, led them with unusual intensity, his deep growl and swampy harmonica harmonizing beautifully with Cole Rudy's raw pedal steel. Dragondeer stunned the crowd and rocketed to prominence in Denver in a short amount of time.
