Dokken Information
Dokken is an American metal band that was formed in 1979. The band broke in 1989 but rejoined four years later. Dokken is from Los Angeles, California. The music style of the band is described as glam metal, hard rock, and heavy metal. The current lineup of the group includes Don Dokken, Chris McCarvill, Jon Levin, and BJ Zampa (touring). Don Dokken (vocals) is the founding member of the Dokken. Some of the past members of the band are Mark Boals, John Norum, Juan Croucier, Barry Sparks, and many more.
Breaking the Chains was the first album by Dokken, which was released in 1981. It was followed by Tooth and Nail (1984), Under Lock and Key (1985), Back for the Attack (1987), Dysfunctional (1995), Shadowlife (1997), Erase the Slate (1999), Long Way Home (2002), Hell to Pay (2004), Lightning Strikes Again (2008), and finally Broken Bones (2012).
Dokken broke up in March 1989. The reason behind this break up was the creative and personal differences between Don Dokken and George Lynch. During the 2008 summer. Dokken toured with Sebastian Bach and Poison. The group has toured exclusively with Mick Brown back on drums.
Dokken has made several guest appearances on various events such as; the band has appeared on tribute albums to Iron Maiden, in Dio's Hear 'n Aid, in a series of commercials for Symantec's Norton Internet Security (2010), their song appeared in a movie name A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and the list goes on. A cover version of "Dream Warriors" also got featured in Riverdale's episode "The Midnight Club."
