DECARLO Information
Decarlo is an American live band (stylized DECARLO) that originated from Charlotte, North Carolina. The current lineup of the group consists of Tommy DeCarlo (lead vocals), Tommy DeCarlo Jr. (lead guitar and vocals), Payton Velligan (keyboard, guitar, and vocals), Christian Sturt (drums and vocals), and Edward Sturt (bass). The band extensively tours often not only in the country but also outside the United States.
Decarlo is fronted by Tommy DeCarlo and his son Tommy DeCarlo Jr. (guitar). According to DeCarlo senior, Tommy Jr. is the backbone of the group. He knows what will work on stage and what will not. He is not only acknowledged as musically talented but also production-wise. DeCarlo senior praises all of his group members as he believes no band is completed without a great supporting cast.
The group released its debut album entitled “Lightning Strikes Twice” on January 24, 2020. It was an excellent piece of melodic rock that is deeply rooted with the sound of masters of the REO Speedwagon, Survivor, Foreigner, and Kansas genres. The album was released via Frontier Records Srl. “Lightning Strikes Twice” was the lead-off single in the album, which was released on October 28, 2019. A few of the other notable singles included are “There She Goes” and “A Better Day.”
