Dan Hubbard is a singer-songwriter who has been active for nearly 15 years. He has released seven studio albums, traveled widely around the United States, and performed alongside numerous well-known national acts like Martin Sexton, Andrew Combs, and Nikka Costa. Tom Petty was a major influence on Hubbard, whose music has been described as "beautiful, powerful, and often almost effortless." Hubbard, the youngest of three brothers, is a native of Illinois and attributes his motivation to write to his brother D.J.
Dan's 2011 album, The Love Show, with the Humadors he fronted, made the top 50 on the Roots Rock chart. Hubbard's 2016 self-titled solo album was produced by Ken Coomer, a three-time Grammy nominee from Nashville. Dan recalls, "I was thrilled with it." To paraphrase, "It was like breaking a record I'd always wanted to break." But he had much more to say, and the songs on his 2019 album Attention dealt with a wide range of topics, including heartbreak, suicide, fury, hatred, and a recurring theme in Hubbard's work: the redemptive power of love.
To mark his 20 years in the music industry, Dan Hubbard published a best hits playlist on Apple Music and Spotify in 2021 titled Too Many Hits - 20 Years of Dan Hubbard Music. These releases included the five-song EP Fall in Love Again (Quarantine Lullabies), and the single See You Again (Live).
