Combichrist Information
Combichrist is a metal band founded by the Norwegian vocalist Andy LaPlegua in 2003. The group follows Aggrotech, industrial metal, and power noise genres. The current lineup of the band includes Andy LaPlegua – lead vocals, Eric13 – guitars, backing vocals, Will Spodnick – percussion, and Dane White – drums. Combichrist was formed in Atlanta, Georgia, but currently, it is based in Englewood, Tennessee. The name of the group originated from a fanzine of LaPlegua's in the 1990s. Combichrist was a character in it named "punk-rock messiah."
The Joy of Gunz was the debut album by Combichrist that was released on the German record label Out of Line. The first LP by the band was of the same title, released in 2003. It was followed by the limited-edition EP Kiss The Blade that came out with 667 pressings. All of which sold out in less than a week. Sex, Drogen Und Industrial was another EP by Combichrist released in 2004. In 2005, the group released Everybody Hates You.
Some of the other notable releases by Combichrist include a song called This is TBM, the compilation Techno Body Music volume 1, Electrohead, What the Fuck Is Wrong with You People?, Today We Are All Demons, Making Monsters, No Redemption, We Love You, and This Is Where Death Begins.
A few of the hit singles by the band are "Broken: United," "Skullchrusher," "Understand," "My Life My Rules," "From My Cold Dead Hands," "Maggots at the Party," and "Never Surrender."
