Coheed and Cambria broke through in 2003 with their second album, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3. That record helped them stand out with a mix of progressive rock, punk, and metal. What made them unique is that most of their albums are part of one long sci-fi story written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez.
