Charlotte Day Wilson (1993) is a Canadian contemporary R&B singer and songwriter. She was born in Toronto, Ontario. She moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to pursue a degree in music, but she dropped out to focus on her music career. Wilson considers himself to be an LGBT person. In 2012, she self-published the EP Palimpsest, then in 2013 and 2014; she released the singles "Avondale," "Stephen," and "Montreal." She was also a member of The Wayo, a funk band that issued an EP in 2014, among other things. She performed vocals, keys, and saxophone on the track.
Before coming to Toronto and interning at Arts & Crafts Productions, she lived in Montreal, Quebec, for a while. Wilson began working with musicians including Daniel Caesar, River Tiber, and BadBadNotGood before releasing her second EP, CDW, in 2016. The song "Work" from the EP was nominated for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize in 2017, and the EP was a nominee for the 2017 Polaris Music Prize. Howie Beck was also nominated for Producer of the Year at the 2017 Juno Awards for his contributions to "Work" and Dragonette's "High Five." For her single "Take Care of You," featuring Syd, she received a Juno Award nomination for Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year in 2021.
