Adams's self-titled debut album was published when he was 20, and he formed his first band at age 15. Bryan Adams became a worldwide star in 1984 with the release of his album Reckless. That record included hit songs like "Summer of ’69," "Heaven," and "Run to You," which helped him break into the top of the rock and pop charts. His voice was raspy and strong, and his music mixed rock guitars with big, emotional choruses—people everywhere connected with his songs about love, youth, and freedom. Adams had been making music before that, but Reckless made him a household name and launched a career that would last for decades.
