Bob Baldwin is an American contemporary jazz pianist, author, radio host, music composer, music producer, inventor, and the creator of the NewUrbanJazz Lounge. He is from Mount Vernon, New York, and was born Robert Baldwin. His music is defined as urban and jazz. Baldwin went to Geneva College in 1978 and graduated in 1986. During his time in college, Baldwin discovered Broadcasting radio and hosted his first radio program from 1979-1980 at college radio station WGEV.
In 2008, Bob Baldwin founded the NewUrbanJazz radio program, which initially aired on WFSK, WJAB, WVAS, WNAA, and WVSU. According to Ranker, he is listed as a famous Geneva College Alumni. Baldwin learned music from his father at six years old. A Long Way to Go was the debut album that was released in 1988. Baldwin has released 27 recordings so far since 1988.
Some of the notable recordings by Baldwin include State of Mind, Cool Breeze, BobBaldwin.com, Bob Baldwin Presents the American Spirit, All in A Day's Work, The Sanctioned Bootleg – live, Lookin' Back, Never Can Say Goodbye: A Tribute to Michael Jackson, and Betcha by Golly Wow/The Music of Thom Bell. He also released several Billboard Top 30 Radio Singles.
Bob Baldwin also worked with Richard Elliot, Marion Meadows, Ragan Whiteside, Regina Carter, The Four Tops, Tom Browne, Bob James, Will Downing, Rhonda Smith, Freddie Jackson, and Dee Brown. He has earned five SESAC Music awards.
