Bleachers Information
Bleachers is the stage name of singer and record producer Jack Antonoff, as well as the name of an American rock band from New Jersey. Rock band Bleachers draws inspiration from various sources, including John Hughes's high school films from the '80s and '90s and more contemporary production methods.
Their 2014 breakthrough song "I Wanna Get Better" was followed by three studio albums: Strange Desire, Gone Now (2017), and Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night (2021).
Antonoff started a new project while traveling with his band Fun and spent time working on it in different places. After keeping the project under wraps for over a year, Bleachers finally dropped their debut track, "I Wanna Get Better," on February 18, 2014, alongside their website debut, social media accounts, and tour dates.
On July 10, 2014, RCA Records released Strange Desire, the debut album by Bleachers. Variance Magazine says "Rollercoaster" is a "brilliant summer anthem." For their first-ever tour, Bleachers embarked on March-April 2015's Come Alive! with support from Joywave and Night Terrors of 1927.
According to promotional materials, "Modern Girl" was the lead single from Bleachers' fourth studio album, "B4," released on September 20, 2023. A music video featuring the song was unveiled on the same day.
