BJ Barham is an American singer and songwriter raised in a small town in North Carolina called Reidsville. He is the founder of the famous American Aquarium band. Barham has successfully built a fiercely devoted fanbase of thousands after 15 years of sold-out American Aquarium shows performed all across the nation. The band often plays at least 200-250 dates a year.
Rockingham is the remarkable and intensely personal solo debut by Barham, which he wrote in the middle of a series of terrorist attacks on November 13, 2015. In Belgium, he was on the fourth European tour with American Aquarium, less than two hours from Paris, when news spread an attack in one of the rock clubs occurred, with more than 100 people dead. Barham was overwhelmed with voicemails, calls, and messages to ensure his safety. That was the moment of spark for him, and he wrote the entire record in the next two days.
Barham also released many notable discographies with his band American Aquarium such as “Me and Mine (Lamentations),” “Dogwood,” “Luckier You Get,” “Bright Leaf,” “Better South,” “Starts with You,” “How Wicked I Was,” “Learned to Lie,” and “Six Years Come September.”
