Beth Bombara Information
Beth Bombara (August 4, 1983) is an American independent singer, musician, and songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Currently, she lives in St. Louis, Missouri. The first instrument Bombara learned was the piano. She started piano lessons in third grade and continued through eighth grade. She also expressed interest in her mother’s electric guitar before attending high school. Her mother gave Bombara the guitar and a book of chords so that she could teach herself how to play. From that point forward, the guitar became the primary instrument in Bombara’s career.
Bombara formed a punk band while she was attending Jenison High School in Michigan. The group was called Green Means Go. The band members started writing and practicing songs together, and later on, they began to play local shows in front of small audiences. It helped them build a small but loyal fan following. After completing high school, Bombara went to Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids and later to Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. She earned an interdisciplinary major in Music & Culture.
Bombara’s musical career had already started before she completed her education; as such, she was prepared in late 2007 to relocate to St. Louis to pursue a solo career. Bombara started performing at the Chippewa Chapel Open Mic Night at St. Louis music venue Off Broadway. Her notable solo releases include Abandon Ship EP (October 30, 2007), Beth Bombara and The Robotic Foundation (April 21, 2009), Wish I Were You (November 23, 2010), Raise Your Flag EP (July 2, 2013), Beth Bombara (June 23, 2015), Map & No Direction (March 3, 2017), and EverGreen (August 9, 2019).
