Andrew Bird Information
Andrew Wegman Bird (July 11, 1973) is an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. Having put together 16 studio albums as well as many live albums and EPs spanning several genres, including swing music, indie rock, and folk music since 1996, he has Early in childhood; Bird was involved in music; he took violin lessons at age four and subsequently graduated with a degree in violin playing.
Bird eventually collaborated with the well-known swing revival band Squirrel Nut Zippers, with whom he released three albums. Then, Bird headed the band Bowl of Fire, releasing albums like Thrills, Oh! The Grandeur and The Swimming Hour between 1999 and 2001. Bird released his first full-length Christmas-themed album, Hark!, on October 30, 2020. Originally released online in November 2019, six tracks from the album first surfaced as an EP named Hark!
Bird released These 13, a joint album with Jimbo Mathus, on March 5, 2021. Bird released Inside Problems via Loma Vista Recordings on June 3, 2022. Mike Viola produced the album; Bird recorded it live with his four-piece band. Madison Cunningham supplied more voice-overdubs. Bird started the co-headlining Outside Problems tour with Iron & Wine the same month and visited outdoor venues nationwide.
