Alestorm Information
Alestorm is a Scottish heavy metal band. The current lineup includes Christopher Bowes, Gareth Murdock, Peter Alcorn, Elliot Vernon, and Máté Bodor. Their first album, Captain Morgan's Revenge, was released on January 25, 2008, following their 2007 signing to Napalm Records. On May 27, 2009, the band's second album, Black Sails at Midnight, was released. On June 3, 2011, the band released Back Through Time, their third studio album. In August 2014, the band's fourth studio album, Sunset on the Golden Age, was released.
The group revealed the June 24, 2022, release date of their seventh studio album on March 13, 2022. With the release of "Magellan's Expedition" on April 6, 2022, the band launched their debut song. Released on May 4, 2022, "P. A.R.T.Y." was the band's second single. The band's third single, "The Battle of Cape Fear River," was released on June 1, 2022. The band's fourth single was dropped with the release of "Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum" on June 22, 2022.
The band stated on September 17, 2023, that an extended play (E.P.) named "Voyage of the Dead Marauder" is scheduled for September 17, 2024. The band announced the E.P.'s release date on November 14, 2023, and March 22, 2024, was established as the release date. The band's new single, "Voyage of the Dead Marauder," debuted on February 14, 2024, and serves as the E.P.'s lead single.
