Against Me Information
Against Me! Is one of the American punk rock bands that was founded in 1997 in Gainesville, Florida. The group was formed by singer and guitarist Laura Jane Grace. The band plays music in punk-rock, folk-punk, alternative rock, and anarcho-punk. The current band members included are Laura Jane Grace (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), James Bowman (lead guitar, backing vocals), Andrew Seward (bass, backing vocals), and Atom Willard (drums, percussion).
The very first release by Against Me! Was an eponymously titled demo tape (1997). Vivida Vis! (1998) was the second demo by the band, which was released in limited numbers by Misanthrope Records. The official first EP by Against Me! was “Against Me!”. It was followed by Against Me! Is Reinventing Axl Rose (2002), Against Me! as the Eternal Cowboy (2003), Searching for a Former Clarity (2005), New Wave (2007), White Crosses (2010), Transgender Dysphoria Blues (2014), and Shape Shift with Me (2016).
The two of the Live Albums released by the band are Americans Abroad!!! Against Me!!! Live in London!!! 2006 and 23 Live Sex Acts 2015. Crime as Forgiven by Against Me! And New Wave B-Sides are two more EPs by Against Me!. In total, the band has released seven studio albums, two live albums, two video albums, nineteen music videos, sixteen singles, and five demos.
Against Me! also released many hit singles throughout its career such as "Cavalier Eternal," "Sink, Florida, Sink," "Don't Lose Touch," "From Her Lips to God's Ears (The Energizer)," "White People for Peace," "Stop!", "I Was a Teenage Anarchist," "White Crosses," and many more.
