The Rad Trads is a Brooklyn-based five-piece band that is known for its eclectic take on rock n' roll, mixed with punk rock energy, precise musicianship, and horn drenched soul, all with a lighthearted but sincere delivery. The band was founded in 2012 and follows Rock & Roll, Indie, and Americana music styles. The current lineup of the band consists of "Big Red" Mike Harlen - Bass, Vocals; Michael Fatum - Trumpet, Vocals; Alden Harris-McCoy - Guitar, Vocals; and Patrick Sargent - Saxophones, Keyboards, Vocals.
The Rad Trads is well-known for its sound and approach that comes from a sharp focus. "99 in October" is the latest release by the band via Wombat Squad Records. This EP was recorded by the band while touring in support of their sophomore release On Tap — a world tour. This tour totaled over 80,000 miles and included shows in support of Lake Street Dive, BAILEN, Dr. Dog, Modest Mouse, and The Motet. The tour dates were scattered throughout Asia, Europe, and across the USA.
