Jean-François Guevremont (1987) is a Canadian drag queen. His stage name, Rita Baga, professionally knows him. He is from Montreal, Quebec. Baga is best known for being a Top 3 finalist in Canada’s Drag Race’s first season. He completed his education at the Universite du Quebec a Montreal. He studied tourist development and human resources.
In 2007, Baga started his career as a drag queen. He started performing at Cabaret Mado for the birthday show of his friend, Dream. Baga performed a medley from the film entitled Sister Act and his colleagues Celinda and Marla. Initially in his career, he kept a drag name, Rita d’Marde, which he later changed to his current name in 2010 when he first started performing at Cabaret Mado as a regular participant.
Baga also became the permanent host of Bagalicious in 2014 that is the Sunday night program aired at Cabaret Mado. He also launched M Fierte in 2016. It was a cross-Canada drag pageant in association with Fiere Montreal. The same year, Baga traveled to Mumbai, India, where he performed at the KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival.
Baga took part in Ils de jour, Elles de Nuit, an Ici ARTV documentary series about drag queens in 2017. He appeared alongside Barbada de Barbades, Tracy Trash, Lady Pounana, Lady Boom Boom, Gaby, Jimbo, and Scarlett BoBo. Baga also became part of an online panel that was a part of 2020 Just Laughs Festival.
