North Dakota State Fair Information
Every year in July, Minot, North Dakota, USA, hosts the North Dakota State Fair. The fair features a wide range of musical and performance amusement in addition to its carnival rides, agricultural displays, and government and business displays. The fairs can be found east of Minot, along Burdick Expressway.
The grandstand is frequently used for Nodak Speedway stock car races, while the All Seasons Arena hosts numerous conventions, athletic events, and festivals, including Norsk Hstfest. It was not until 1966 that the state government gave its blessing to the fair, even though it had been hosted in Minot since 1922.
Up from about 250,000 in 2006, the North Dakota State Fair is the biggest event in the state. Usually, the number of people visiting the fair goes up yearly, but there are two exceptions: 2011 and 2020. There was a lot of flooding on the premises from the Souris River flood a month before the fair was supposed to start, so it was called off. This news followed an earlier decision to conduct the fair without competition.
