Antony and Cleopatra Information
Alexander Burnett and Anita Blay, better known as CocknBullKid, make up the London-based musical duo Antony & Cleopatra. The two first collaborated in 2014 at a pop music composing session. During a pop composition session 2014, Burnett and Blay were acquainted by producer and frequent collaborator Mark-Anthony Tieku (aka "Tieks"). Tieks has previously collaborated with Burnett and Blay, having contributed to Sparkadia's The Great Impression and an unreleased CocknBullKid album, respectively.
Antony and Cleopatra were Burnett and Blay, the combo they formed. Their debut collaboration contributed to Lancelot's 2014 Anjuna Deep single, "Givin' it Up," which featured the duo as featured artists. Released via Vitalic Noise on March 3, 2015, "Sirens" marked the duo's first offering as primary performers. Burnett and Blay, along with Andrew Bird, directed the official music video. Their single "Take Me" came out later in 2015.
Dew Process / Universal Music Australia became Antony & Cleopatra's label home in 2017. Their track "Dust," released in July 2017, has been featured heavily on Triple J, an Australian radio station. On July 12, 2017, this video, directed by digital artist 'Ego' was featured as "Music Video of the Day" on The Au Review's homepage. 'Why Don't You Just Call Me,' their next song, was announced online on May 1, 2019.
