Achievement Hunter is a video gaming division of Rooster Teeth Productions that is well-known to American gamers. It was founded on July 6, 2008, by Jack Pattillo and Geoff Ramsey. Their website is largely based on the achievement mechanic found in the seventh and eighth generation of video game consoles. Achievement Hunter has also grown to become a core component of Rooster Teeth. Currently, the videos are hosted by six main members named Jeremy Dooley, Ryan Haywood, Michael Jones, Gavin Free, Jack Patillo, and Geoff Ramsey. However, you can usually expect to see surprise guests at the live shows.
Achievement Hunter has accumulated a massive presence on YouTube. Their channels are named LetsPlay and Achievement Hunter. They have so far gathered more than 5.5 million subscribers and received more than 3.1 billion video views. Ramsey regularly releases achievement Easter egg videos and guides.
Ryan Haywood was hired as a manager and editor in 2011 for Achievement Hunter. In March 2012, Haywood also started hosting the videos. Achievement Hunter began producing videos for their second venture Let’s Play in December 2011. They debuted Game Night in March 2012. In this show, Ramsey and Caleb Denecour play live games with community members.
