Yoke Lore Information
Adrian Galvin is an American visual artist, dancer, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born in Katonah, New York, and is professionally known by his stage name, Yoke Lore. Galvin has previously played with the bands Walk the Moon and Yellerkin. His parents were artists and writers who fostered his artistic interests. Noah Galvin, an actor, and singer, is his sibling. His parents are religiously diverse; the former are Catholic, and the latter are Jewish.
While enrolled at Kenyon College, Galvin began penning lyrics and playing drums for Walk the Moon. In 2013, he left the band to start a new, short-lived band named Yellerkin. After graduating from college, Galvin spent some time in a monastery in India. Producer Luca Buccellati established Brooklyn-based Yellerkin. In 2016, he released an EP under the moniker Yoke Lore and soon after played at South by Southwest and traveled globally.
In 2016, Galvin established a dancing collective he called Boomerang. His "Beige" music video premiered online in the fourth quarter of 2017. His 2019 album Dead Ringer's lone track was released late in the year. He teamed up with Jax Anderson to release the "Sensitive Heart" track in 2020.
