Whitehorse Information
Whitehorse is a Canadian band known for its folk-rock music. The current lineup of the group consists of Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet. Before establishing Whitehorse in 2010, Doucet and McClelland toured in each other's bands for years. Six Shooter Records has released three albums and two EPs since then. Before forming Whitehorse, Doucet and McClelland were both established singer-songwriters who chose to put their solo careers on wait to work together.
In July 2013, the second album, The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss, received a Polaris Music Prize nomination. They made their debut at Massey Hall in the same year, one of Canada's most historic music venues. The Road to Massey Hall is an EP featuring cover versions of songs written and performed by various artists who had performed there previously.
They released Éphémère sans repère, a French-language EP featuring several of their tracks, in 2014. Pierre Marchand supplied lyric translations for the EP. Leave No Bridge Unburned, their third full-length album, was released on February 17, 2015, and received Adult Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2016. This is their fourth studio album, Panther in the Dollhouse. On July 7, 2017, Six Shooter Records published the album.
