Vyacheslav Butusov Information
Vyacheslav Gennadievich Butusov (October 15, 1961) is a Russian singer and songwriter. He was born in Krasnoyarsk, Soviet Union, but he lived and studied in several different places in Serbia due to his father's profession. Butusov was acquainted with musician Dmitry Umetsky during his first year as a student at the Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute. They both were passionate about music and often played together as well. In 1982, Butusov also met the poet, Ilya Kormiltsev. He joined the band Nautilus Pompilius, but after the band disbanded, Butusov started his solo career.
Butusov recorded, Nezakonnopozhdenniy AlKhimik doktor faust pernatiy zmey, along with Yuri Kasparyan in 1997. In 1998, his debut solo album entitled, Ovaly came out. Butusov founded the band U-Piter with former kino guitarist Kasparyan in 2001. The group recorded seven albums in total and disbanded in 2017.
Butusov also started his writing career in 2007 beside his music career. He published a series of books, including Virgostan (2007), Antidepressant (2007), and Arkhiya (2011). His solo albums include Tikhe Igry (2001) and Model diya sborki (2008). He also released a few collaboration albums such as Most (1985), Elizobarra-Torr (2000), Zvyodzdniy padl (2001).
Butusov has played a part in many films in his career, including Ranshe bylo drugoye vremya (1987), Zekralo dlya geroya (1987), Serp I gitara (1988), and some others.
