Vansire Information
Vansire is an American dream pop band. The current lineup consists of Sam Augustin and Sam Winemiller. Vansire's debut album, Reflections & Reveries, was released independently in August 2016. The album was recorded in Winemiller's basement for a year, from August 2015 to August 2016, and featured guest appearances by Winemiller's brother, Issac, on bass. While Winemiller enrolled at the University of Minnesota, Augustin started at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Oberlin College.
Angel Youth, Vansire's second album, was released in April 2018 via Spirit Goth Records. The album is the band's first full-length to incorporate collaborations with other musicians; it was produced and mastered by Augustin and Winemiller. The pair dropped their single "Metamodernity" in June 2019 and then recorded an Audiotree Live session at the Chicago studios in late August.
After Fillmore County, a seven-song EP by Vansire was released on October 16, 2020. It featured guest appearances by Philadelphia-based rapper Ivy Sole and marked the return of FLOOR CRY. Vansire's debut remix of "F Me Up" by Sydney-based producer-artist Swaine Delgado was released in April 2021. Vansire's third album, The Modern Western World, was released in May 2022.
