Tony Starlight is an American comedian who performed in Portland from 1993-1999 at venues like The Gypsy and The 1201 Club. For nearly two years, he performed Friday nights at Jimmy Mak’s. Starlight has opened for Steven Wright in Portland and Seattle as a comedian. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1999, where he performed at the world-famous Improv alongside Zach Galifianakis and Sarah Silverman.
Tony Starlight was a cast member of L.A. Connection Comedy Theater for three seasons. He was voted as Best Writer by his peers. In 2006, he opened Tony Starlight’s Supperclub and Lounge after moving back to Portland with his wife. Starlight performed his very own show at this club along with a talented cast of other local entertainers. He recently added ’70s music to the line-up with his Neil Diamond Tribute and AM Gold Seventies Soft Rock shows.
Tony Starlight is also the Tony Starlight Showroom founder, which culminated in 20 years as an entertainer and venue owner. The showroom is said to be the premier live music and comedy venue in the area. Apart from performing regularly on his stage, Tony Starlight also tours his show to several theaters scattered all across the region, such as Hillsboro’s Venetian Theatre, the Old Liberty in Ridgefield, WA, and Portland’s own Alberta Rose.
