Rock band The Used was founded in 2000 in Orem, Utah, USA. Bert McCracken on vocals, Jeph Howard on bass, Dan Whitesides on drums, and Joey Bradford on guitar make up the band. Justin Shekoski, Branden Steineckert, and Quinn Allman are some former members. In June 2002, the band released their self-titled debut album. In September 2004, they released In Love and Death, and in May 2007, they released Lies for the Liars.
In February of 2008, the band issued an EP titled Shallow Believer, which consisted primarily of their B-sides. Artwork, their fourth studio album, came out in the summer of 2009. In March of 2012, a new album titled Vulnerable was released. Another EP, The Ocean of the Sky, was published by the band in July 2013. Imaginary Enemy, their sixth album, came out in April of 2014. Their seventh studio album, The Canyon, came out in fall 2017.
In April 2020, they released Heartwork, their eighth studio album, and in September 2021, they published a deluxe edition that included B-sides from the sessions. Toxic Positivity, their ninth studio album, was released in May 2023. The band's albums have sold well, earning gold and platinum certifications in several nations.
