The Neighbourhood Information
The Neighbourhood, also known as NBHD, is an American rock band. This band was founded in 2011 in Newbury Park, California. To distinguish the new group from the existing band “Neighborhood,” the band’s manager advised the members to choose the British spelling “Neighbourhood.” The current band members include Zach Abels(lead and rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jesse Rutherford (lead vocals), Brandon Alexander Fried (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Jeremy Freedman(rhythm and guitar, backing vocals).
The Neighbourhood announced their debut self-released EP “I’m Sorry” in May 2012.
The first original EP released by the band was “The Love Collection” on December 10, 2013. The band released its first full-length album “I Love You” on April 23, 2013, right after extension plays; “Thank You” and “I’m Sorry.” On November 28, 2014, The Neighbourhood released its first mixtape”#000000 & #FFFFFF”. A self-titled third studio album came out on March 9, 2018, after the release of two EPs: To Imagine (January 12, 2018) and Hard (September 22, 2017).
The band gave their first television performance at Jimmy Kimmel Live on June 27, 2013. They performed in Toronto’s annual outdoor rock festival, Edgefest on July 31, 2013, along with Canada’s largest music festival, Osheaga on August 4, and Atlanta's Music Midtown on September 21, 2013.
The Neighbourhood announced its summer 2013 tour “The Love Collection Tour,” along with JMSN, 1975, and Lovelife. They embarked on European Tour and American Tour in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Some of the singles released by band include; Scary Love(2017), Sweater Weather (2010), Middle Of Somewhere (2019), Let It Go (2013), Daddy Issues (2016), Stuck With Me (2017), and many more.
