The Mysterines Information
Lia Metcalfe, George Favager, Callum Thompson, and Paul Crilly are the members of the Liverpool and Wirral-based alternative rock band known as The Mysterines. On March 11, 2022, Fiction Records distributed the band's debut album, Reeling, which debuted at number 9 on the UK Albums Chart upon its release.
When vocalist and songwriter Lia Metcalfe first met bass player George Favager, the two were neighbors on the Wirral and quickly became friends. Together, they went on to form the band. The band originally consisted of a trio with Chrissy Moore on drums as the fourth member. Following Moore's departure from the band in 2020, the lineup changed to include Callum Thompson on guitar and backing vocals, and Paul Crilly took over as the band's new drummer.
Before the band signed with Fiction Records in March 2021, they released six tracks across two EPs on their own Pretty Face Recordings label. These songs were spread between EPs. They waited almost a year before releasing their debut album, titled Reeling, and Catherine Marks produced it.
