Kiefer Sutherland (December 21, 1966) is a British-Canadian musician and actor. He was born in Paddington, London. Warren Kiefer, an American writer, and director is honored with Sutherland's naming because he directed Donald Sutherland in his first major motion picture. In 1968, Sutherland and his family settled in the California city of Corona. His parents split up in the '70s. Sutherland and his mother relocated to Toronto, Ontario, in 1975. John G. Althouse Middle School, St. Clair Junior High (now Gordon A. Brown Middle School) in East York, and Crescent Town Elementary School were all his schools in Toronto.
Sutherland acted début alongside Matthew Broderick in the film Max Dugan Returns, in which his father, Donald Sutherland, also had a role. Sutherland was up for the character of Glen Lantz in the 1984 picture A Nightmare on Elm Street, which went to Johnny Depp.
Down in a Hole was Sutherland's debut album, and the accompanying music video for "Not Enough Whiskey" was released in 2016. Sutherland and Jude Cole penned the country tunes. As of June 6, 2016, the Kiefer Sutherland Band has completed a tour that began in April. In 2019, the band played shows in both Scotland and Las Vegas. In April 2019, the band dropped their sophomore album Reckless and Me.
