Ike Reilly Assassination is an American rock band that was founded by Ike Reilly (born Michael Christopher Reilly), an American singer-songwriter, writer, and musician. The music of the group is defined as Folk rock, alternative rock, acoustic rock, and anti-folk. The current lineup of the band is Dave Cottini – drums, backing vocals; Phil Karnats – electric guitar; Pete Cimbalo – bass, backing vocals; Adam Krier – piano, backing vocals; and Ike Reilly– lead vocals, electric and acoustic guitar. The two of the previous and rotating members are Tommy O'Donnell - Bapo, guitar, and Ed Tinley (2000–present) – guitar, piano.
Ike Reilly released several albums with The Ike Reilly Assassination. Sparkle in the Finish was one of the most well-received ones that were released in 2004 via Rock Ridge Music. The collection was defined as "pure rock & roll swagger." The next album by Ike Reilly Assassination was Junkie Faithful in 2004, which was described as an album the adopted a dry-humored Nick Lowe/Chuck Prophet-inspired style relevant to pop and rock.
The Ike Reilly Assassination became well-known by many fans who praised the Chicago improv duo TJ and Dave. The pair starts every show with the original Ike Reilly song named "I Don't Want What You Got (Goin On)" included in Sparkle in the Finish.
