The Greeting Committee Information
The Greeting Committee is an American rock band. The group's current lineup consists of Micah Ritchie, Pierce Turcotte, and Addie Sartino. The group debuted that year at a school talent show. The Greeting Committee released their debut extended play, It's Not All That Bad, independently in March 2015. Lazlo Geiger, a radio host in Kansas City for KRBZ, received a copy of the book as a gift. Geiger started the show off by playing "Hands Down," a song by the band.
Soon after the EP came out and "Hands Down" hit the airwaves, the band started playing as opening acts for other bands around Kansas City. In October 2015, after signing with Harvest Records, they re-released It's Not All That Bad with new and re-recorded material. They performed at South by Southwest and Lollapalooza for the first time in 2016. They also went on tour with other bands like Kitten, The Mowgli's, and Judah & the Lion.
The group's sophomore EP, Meeting People Is Easy, was released on Harvest Records in March 2017. Singles "Elise" and "She's a Gun" were included in that album. That same year, they opened for notable bands like Saint Motel, Andrew McMahon, and MisterWives.
