Georgia Thunderbolts is an American rock ‘n’ roll band hailing from Rome, Georgia, right at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The band rises with raw rock, blistering blues, and a signature scorching that steeps in soulful southern swagger. The group released its self-titled debut EP on August 21st, 2019, on Mascot Records. The EP conjured a tried-and-true spirit.
The Georgia Thunderbolts have a wide range of musical inspirations that drives them to create more amazing pieces. Their inspirations range from Hank Williams and southern Gospels to Neil Young, Ozzy Osborne, Little Feat, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Georgia Thunderbolts has shared the stage with many notable artists, from Blackberry Smoke to The Kentucky Headhunters and Black Stone Cherry.
Georgia Thunderbolts soon entered the iconic Barrick Recording Studio in Glasgow, Kentucky. They recorded with producer Richard Young. The band has released many singles so far, including “Looking for an Old Friend,” ‘So You Wanna Change the World,” “Lend a Hand,” “Set Me Free,” “Spirit of a Workin’ Man,” “Be Good to Yourself,” “Dancin’ With the Devil,” “Can I Get a Witness,” and “Better Run From the Beast.”
