The Brevet Information
The Brevet is an American alternative rock band from Irvine, CA. The group was founded in 2012, and it is affiliated with BMI. The current lineup of the band is Aric Chase Damm - Vocals / Guitar, David Aguiar - Drums / Percussion, John Kingsley – Guitar, and Julian Johnson - Bass Guitar. Their name represents a Civil War rank, which was awarded to those individuals who went above and beyond the call of duty without any expectation of extra monetary compensation. The band shows influences relevant to theatre, art, music, and film scores.
Battle of the Heart, the quartet was the debut by The Brevet in 2013. It was followed by high-profile placements throughout film and television such as The Good Lie, Ashby, 90210, Growing Up Fisher, The MLB Network, American Idol, and a few more. The band members also have strong links in American Songwriter, Los Angeles Times, and OC Weekly. American Novel was a 2016 sophomore effort by the group.
The Brevet was initially a duo between Aric and Michael; the group was formed by the union of the other band members. They also released a three-song CH.1 EP that consists of the following songs; “Moving Mountains,” “Be Your Man,” and “Hold On.” Some of the other hits by The Brevet are “Hazy Eyes,” “Locked & Loaded,” and a few more. The Brevet earned the Rising Star Award via Irvine Public School Foundation.
