The Blood Brothers Information
The Blood Brothers, an American screamo band, was established in 1997 in the Eastside suburbs of Seattle. Before their 2007 split, the band released five studio albums; in 2014, they reunited for a string of concerts leading up to FYF Fest. The next year, in a cellar, the band produced their debut 7-inch album for $200.
The current lineup is complete with the addition of guitarist Cody Votolato, who is one year younger than the rest of the band who replaced Welch. The band embarked on their inaugural tour shortly after Votolato finished high school. Along with math rockers The Cancer Conspiracy from Vermont and indie rockers The Rocking Horse Winner from Florida, the band went on a U.S. tour in July 2002.
Guy Picciotto, a member of Fugazi, co-produced the 2006 album Young Machetes, the last studio album issued by The Blood Brothers on October 10th. The band's most distinctive features are the distinctive vocal duets by Johnny Whitney and Jordan Blilie. On albums like "...Burn," "Piano Island," and "Bur," Votolato showcases a loud, dissonant sound; on Crimes, on the other hand, he plays minimalist lead lines, relying on the energy of the percussion.
