The Black Feathers, a roots music pair from Gloucestershire, UK, are a husband-and-wife team. The Black Feathers funded their Kickstarter project in less than 12 hours in October 2013. The resulting Strangers We Meet EP was published in February 2014 on the band's Bird in the Hand Records label. FRoots, The Telegraph, Acoustic Magazine, and R2 (Rock'n'Reel) were just a few of the national magazines that gave it high marks.
The EP's songs have received extensive airplay on BBC Radio 2 Country, BBC Radio 2, and BBC Radio Scotland. In addition, it was named the finest folk and roots album of 2014 by the Sunday Mercury and included on BBC Radio Gloucestershire's Johnny Coppin's choice of the year's top acoustic releases.
Zuus Country, an American television network, broadcast the music video for their track "Strangers We Meet." Villain Place, the same people responsible for the multi-award-winning official lyric videos for Florida Georgia Line, made it. The Black Feathers have opened for Ray Davies at Bristol's Colston Hall and accompanied Eddi Reader on her Irish and Northern Irish tours, respectively.
