The B Street Band - Bruce Springsteen Tribute Information
The B Street Band is an American tribute band from New Jersey and is an ensemble that is the first group in the world that pays a unique type of tribute to a live performer. The band debuted in Asbury Park, NJ, as “Backstreets” on May 19, 1980. They performed for an audience of over 2,000 fans. According to an estimate, around 140,000 tribute bands follow their lead and perform all across the globe.
After delivering 6,000 hit performances, the band changed its name to the B Street Band and is still one of the hardest working tribute bands on the circuit that performs 175+ shows every year throughout the nation. Their performances also take place in some of the largest venues.
On the 15th anniversary of the B Street Band, a massive crowd of over 30,000 fans attended the NYC Tunnel of Towers. Some of the most notable venues where the band performed include opening before Springsteen shows outside at the Philadelphia Spectrum. The group also performed before Springsteen shows at Nationals, MetLife Stadium, Prudential Center, Wachovia, and Comcast Xfinity Center.
The B Street Band was honored to accept an invitation from the “Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen” exhibition’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and gave multiple performances at the Philadelphia Constitutional Center. The Philadelphia Eagles also requested the group to perform at their home games in 2013 and 2014.
