Symphony X Information
Symphony X is one of the American progressive metal band which is based in Middletown, New Jersey. The group was founded in 1994, consisting of guitarist Michael Romeo, drummer Jason Rullo, keyboardist Michael Pinnella, bassist Michael Lepond, and lead vocalist Russell Allen. Symphony X plays melodic metal, power metal, progressive metal, and neoclassical metal. This band is often compared to other popular progressive metal bands such as Fates Warning, Shadow Gallery, Dream Theater, and a few more.
Symphony X (1994) was the first studio album by Symphony X, which received a positive reception in Japan. The Damnation Game (1995) was the second studio album by the band, which was followed by The Divine Wings of Tragedy (1997). Twilight in Olympus (1998) was the fourth album by Symphony X, which was recorded without the band’s original drummer Jason Rullo. Soon the band performed a worldwide tour after releasing the fourth album.
Prelude to the Millennium was a compilation album by the band, which was released in late 1998. Some of the other discographies by Symphony X are V: The New Mythology Suite, published in 2000, Live on the Edge of Forever (first live album), The Odyssey 2002, Paradise Lost (debuted at no.123 on the Billboard 200 album chart U.S and no.1 on the Top Heatseekers Chart), Iconoclast, (debuted at no.76 on the Billboard 200), and Underworld (2015).
Some of the solo projects by Symphony X include The End of Innocence (2011), Nevermore (2015), and Without You (2015). Live on the Edge of Forever (2001) is another album by the band.
