Streetlight Manifesto is a ska punk band. The current lineup comprises Tomas Kalnoky, Jim Conti, Chris Thatcher, Mike Brown, Pete McCullough, Karl Lyden, and Dan Ross. Before re-recording "Everything Went Numb," "Point/Counterpoint," "The Saddest Song," and "We Are the Few" for their debut album, Streetlight Manifesto produced a four-track demo EP.
Release details for Streetlight's sixth studio album were announced on July 27, 2021, with the expected date being "sometime in 2022." At the beginning of 2023, they announced on Instagram that they were getting close to finishing the project. While performing at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ, on December 16, 2022, as part of their "The Calm Before The Chaos" tour, Streetlight hinted at a new song called "Mayday" during their set.
Trumpeter Matthew Stewart passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 41. Following Stewart's passing, the band played in San Francisco and Los Angeles with Mike Soprano on trumpet and trombone. Streetlight Manifesto first revealed details regarding the album on April 25, 2024.
