Steelheart Information
Steelheart is an American glam metal band founded in 1989 and originated from Norwalk, Connecticut. The group’s music is classified as hard rock, glam metal, and alternative metal. The band’s current lineup consists of Miljenko Matijevic – lead vocals, rhythm and acoustic guitar, piano; Joe Pessia – lead and rhythm guitar; Marten Andersson – bass; and Mike Humbert – drums, percussion. Some of the past members include Frank DiConstanzo, Kenny Kanowski, Alex Makarovich, Jack Wilkenson, and Uros Raskovski. Steelheart was previously known as Red Alert.
The band released its self-titled debut album in 1990, which successfully reached number 40 on the Billboard 200. It was followed by the second album, Tangled in Reins, released in 1992. This album also reached number 144 on the Billboard charts. Steelheart went on an Asian tour in September 1992. The band opened for Slaughter at a show in Denver, Colorado, on Halloween night in 1992.
Some of the notable studio albums by Steelheart include Wait (1996), Good 2B Alive (2008), Through Worlds of Stardust (2017), and Rock’ N’ Milan Live (2018). The band also released an EP entitled Just a Taste EP in 2006. Steelheart – Still Hard is the only video album by Steelheart released in 2006. Steelheart has also performed at the three-day Rockingham 2016 glam metal festival.
