Slow Magic Information
Slow Magic is an enigmatic DJ and music producer well recognized for his multicolored animal mask. Magic is best known for his signature pop-savvy, synth, otherworldly yet still electronic sound. Slow Magic first appeared on the music scene in 2012 with his hit Triangle. He garnered some notable attention with another release in 2014, entitled How to Run Away. His 2017's Float was yet another major success.
Slow Magic arrived on the scene in the spirit of other notable masked artists such as MF Doom, Deadmau5, and Daft Punk. The debut album Triangle by Slow Magic was released on the LebensStrasse label. The release was unique because the LP lacked the word "Triangle" on the cover, but only the shape was there.
After releasing his debut album, Slow Magic toured alongside Xxyyxx and Gold Panda. He also remixed many Panda's songs and Delorean, the Spanish indie dance band. How to Run Away by Slow Magic was released on the famous Sony-distributed imprint Downtown. At this time, Downtown was under Interscope. Some label issues resulted in the delay of the third album by Slow Magic, Float.
Slow Magic also worked with Milk & Honey. A few of his other notable releases include The Away EP, the Dreams EP, and a stand-alone track, "Home," that came out in 2020.
