Kelsie Hogue is an American performer, pop singer, and songwriter. She is professionally known as Sir Babygirl. Hogue was born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in New Hampshire. She is non-binary, stating a specific preference for both “he” and “she” pronouns. Hogue studied drama at Boston University and then moved to New Hampshire. There she began playing in the Boston hardcore scene. She first developed the “Sir Babygirl” persona on her Instagram account, and since then, she has been known through this name.
Hogue’s musical influences include early-2000s pop artists such as Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. She is drawn to the excesses and pop music, but as a bisexual, her main focus is to make pop that speaks particularly to the queer experience.
In February 2019, Hogue released his debut album entitled, Crush on Me. The album was released through Father/Daughter records. The album was written and produced in Hogue’s bedroom studio beginning in 2016. The remastered version of the album was released on November 8, 2019, entitled, Crush on Me: BICONIC Edition. Her songs include “Cheerleader,” “Everyone Is a Bad Friend,” “Pink Life,” “Flirting With Her,” “Haunted House,” and “Heels.”
