A Canadian rock band was formed in Burlington, Ontario, in the year 2000 named Silverstein. The name of the group was inspired by the famous children's author Shei Silverstein. Growing up, the members of the band admired and read the stories written by Shei Silverstein. The band released their first Extended Play called 'Summer's Stellar Gaze' in the latter half of 2000. The group Silverstein consists of five members Paul Koehler, the drummer, Shane Told, the lead vocalist, Billy Hamilton, the bassist, Josh Bradford, the rhythm guitarist, and Paul Marc Rousseau, the lead guitarist. Silverstein was affiliated with four recording albums, and they are Victory, Hopeless, Rise, and UNFD. The genre of music of the band consists of emo, screamo, indie rock, and hardcore punk.
The band Silverstein has released four Extended Plays, nine studio albums, a live DVD/CD, and a compilation album. The members of the band have remained the same for eleven years since 2001. The original members of the band were Paul Koehler, Shane Told, Josh Bradford, Billy, and Neil Boshart. Neil Boshart was fired from the band in 2012 and was replaced by Paul Rousseau. Silverstein's second album, called Discovering the Waterfront, achieved a moderate amount of success. Their album reached number 34 on the Billboard 200 charts. The band Silverstein has sold over a million copies of their album all around the world.
