Siggno Information
Siggno is an American Tejano band, also known as Grupo Siggno. The group was founded in 2000 in Santa Rosa, and its music is defined as Latin pop, Tejano music, Regional Mexican music, and Norteno. The current lineup consists of Jesse Turner – vocals, accordion, Ricardo (Richard) Rosales – vocals, bajo sexto, Ruben Robles Jr – electric bass, Cesar (Chato) Sanchez – drums, Jorge (George) Torres - congas, percussion, and Sergio (Checo)Tabares – MC. Siggno released its debut album in 2001 entitled Al Principio under Crown Records. The album entirely followed Tejano music's post-golden age era, and music critics praised it.
Por Amor (2002) was the second album by Siggno that earned a BMI Music Award and a Latin Grammy Award nomination. Their other album, Six Pack (2008), marked the band's entry onto a music chart. It was followed by Que Harias, released in 2010, which provided the band its first top 10 albums on the chart of US Billboard Regional Mexican Albums. Some of the other notable studio albums by Siggno are Caminando (2005), Amor y Dolor (2006), Capítulo 5 (2007), En La Radio (2009), Lo Que Me Dejaste (2011), El Mundo Se Acabo (2012), Yo Te Esperare (2016), and "Monstruo" (2018). In 2017, Siggno broke the audience records at the Go Tejano Day annual event, and the performance was honored to Jacob, who remained in a coma for four months from a car accident.
