Rosalia Information
Rosalia (September 25, 1992) is a Spanish singer and songwriter. She was born in Sant Cugat del Valles, Catalonia. She graduated with high honors thanks to her cover album Los Angeles (2017), a collaboration with Raül Refree, and her baccalaureate project, El Mal Querer (2018). It reimagined flamenco by fusing it with pop and hip-hop, resulting in the hit singles "Malamente" and "Pienso en tu Mirá," hailed by critics and the Spanish public alike.
El Mal Querer, which launched Rosala onto the global music scene, won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year and was included in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2019, Rosala released "Con Altura" and "Yo x Ti, T x M," two albums that explored urbano music. In contrast to the new flamenco feel of her last album, she gave reggaeton an experimental spin with her third studio album, Motomami (2022).
With hit singles like "La Fama," "Saoko," and "Despechá," this album topped the charts and had the highest Metacritic rating of any album released that year. Throughout her career, Rosala has amassed the most number-one singles of any native musician in her country with eleven. It is generally agreed that she is among the most famous and important Spanish vocalists of all time.
